Book an Author Wraps Its Third Annual Back to School Campaign, Connecting Authors With Schools Across 10 States

New York — September 15, 2026 — Book an Author, a mission-driven platform connecting schools with authors and literary talent, has wrapped its third annual Back to School Campaign, bringing together 15 authors across 10 states to help schools kick off the new academic year with meaningful author experiences.
The campaign focused on connecting authors directly with schools through author visits, book sales, literacy programming, and community partnerships. By bringing authors together as a collective, Book an Author helped participating writers expand their outreach while giving schools greater access to literary talent.
This year’s participating authors included Mike Crowder and Jeanette Gil of Florida, and Rachel Glowacki of Colorado, among other participating authors nationwide.
“I loved seeing this become a true community effort. When authors, local businesses, and supporters come together around literacy, the impact reaches far beyond a single classroom,” says Jeanette Gil, who raised over $2000 for the local schools in Florida.
Three Years of Building Connections
The Back to School Campaign has become one of Book an Author’s signature initiatives, designed to help authors build relationships with schools while making author experiences more accessible to students.
Rather than relying solely on traditional book marketing, participating authors work together to proactively reach schools, librarians, educators, and community organizations.
Bringing Authors Into Classrooms
The campaign connects schools with authors for both in-person and virtual experiences, giving students the opportunity to meet the people behind the books they read.
Author visits can help students see reading and writing differently — not simply as something they do in school, but as something real people build their lives and careers around.
